"Simple things should be simple, complex things should be possible." - Alan Kay

I came across this quote the other day and it's a perfect way to illustrate our mindset here at Sitecast. We will continually update this software to make your life simpler, while simultaneously allowing for complex creations.

Here are the highlights of this latest version:

  • New layouts for the page sections: blog post list, the podcast list, and the video list.
  • Now you can place posts into categories. Each post in a feed can have one category. And the category only applies to that feed. We will be able to do a bunch of cool organizational design stuff now. So watch for new page sections and features in upcoming releases.
  • Also with this release, introducing tags. The opposite of the rigid category, the tag is a universal way to organize all of the posts throughout your Sitecast network.
  • Refined the navbar by adding a better way to signify the active page. Instead of a confusing underline, it's now a clean looking bottom border.
  • You can add your logos to the Sitecast personalize skin area. These will show up in all your branded areas, such as auto-emails, login screen, favicon, etc.
  • If you want to sell a course, we've made huge strides inside Sitecast Premium. Contact us to learn more.
  • Have a podcast? Now your show notes will automatically appear in your listener's podcasting apps. And it will also include your basic post styling like bullet points and links. Links, you say? Yes, links... inside the podcasting app. Call to actions FTW!
  • Share buttons received a huge update by creating a nice screen for sharing your pages.
  • Improved the footer.
  • Bug fixes. Swat!

There you have it. Some things are simple, other things are possible, and all things are moving your efforts forward!
